Are you looking to jump aboard the craft spirit train or simply looking for someplace unique and different to wet your whistle after a day on the slopes? Either way, the wide selection of Breckenridge craft brews and spirits has you covered.
This increasingly growing craft brew and distillery movement everyone seems to be raving about these days is no longer “new” news to Colorado. Throughout the state, locals are creating some of the finest spirits in the country. Colorado craft distillers alone have grown to over 50 in the last few years, not to mention the continued increasing number of brew masters. What is even more surprising is how quickly these new spirits have fueled the hip “farm-to-bar” trend. Just as farm-to-table went from a niche enjoyed by foodies and conservationists to a standard influencing everything from restaurants to big-box grocery stores, farm-to-bar is another way people are realizing the joys of using homegrown ingredients – by incorporating them into fresh, unique cocktails and craft beer.
When it comes to craft beer and spirits, Breckenridge is certainly no stranger to this trend. In fact, the “made-in-Breck” concept began in the ‘90s with the original Breckenridge Brewery. Today, that has expanded to include bourbon, vodka, rum, bitters, and an array of craft beers on tap between the town’s top two breweries and its newest addition, the Breckenridge Distillery. So kick back, relax, and follow along here to pick your favorite spirit while in town:

Where Breckenridge craft brews and spirits all started . . .
From small town brewpub to one of the most successful craft breweries in the nation, Breckenridge Brewery first opened its doors in 1990. It all started on Main Street Breckenridge when founder Richard Squire made the transition from ski bum to esteemed brew master. Nestled below the slopes of Main Street, Breckenridge Brewery is the third oldest craft brewery in Colorado and recently opened a second location in 2015 in Littleton, nine miles south of Denver. Both locations are destinations for locals and out-of-towners alike.
Today, Breckenridge Brewery continues to delight locals and visitors with a lively atmosphere, delicious pub fare, and of course, a great selection of beer. The brew pub also now sends beer to 35 states and continues to create new and exciting beers. On tap, brewhounds can find classics like Vanilla Porter, Avalanche Amber Ale, Agave Wheat, locals’ favorites 471 Double IPA and Breck IPA, along with a variety of specialty beers that include seasonals, barrel-aged beers, the Brewery Lane Series, and a newly announced nitrogen-charged canned series.
The original Main Street location still brews all its own beers on site and serves up killer brewpub fare that’s perfect after a day on the slopes. So pull up a barstool, sample the goods with a flight, or settle in with your favorite style of brew, and swap stories with a local.
