DESCRIPTION

Dalbello's KR Lotus women's ski boots have a relatively mild flex rating of 85 for how serious of boots they are. Because of that they lend themselves well to freeriding in all of its forms, from the park to the sidecountry. This is the women's edition of the well known men's Rampage boots. Their Cabrio three piece design affords the best, most progressive flex for getting the most out of your boots as the interface between you and your skis. Fine tune their fit with micro-adjustable aluminum buckles that let you cinch them up just right. A 98mm is what most call low volume. That means these boots are geared toward a snug fit. A tight fit, especially in the heel of the boot is the only way to get high performance from your boots. For an ergonomic fit that skis like nobody's business, look no further than Dalbello Cabrio design boots like KR Lotus.

PRODUCT DETAILS
  • 98mm last - Forefoot width of 98mm for racing performance, not as concerned about comfort, although modern boots do a great job of keeping their performance boots quite comfortable.
  • 85 Flex Rating - A flex of 85 is moderately stiff for an adult, and very stiff/advanced for a youth. Boots of this flex are responsive enough for aggressive skiing but should still fit pretty comfy. Boots of this nature usually make good park/powder boots because they are more forgiving when landing jumps than a race boot, but they are responsive enough not to melt when you're skiing hard.
  • Cabrio Design - Dalbello's critically acclaimed 3-piece design is the cornerstone to their freestyle performance lineup. Cabrio boots secure the foot and lower leg in a comfortable way, with a smooth and progressive forward flex. Cabrio boots are great for helping fight against shin bang, and are easier to put on and take off than comparable (high performance, non-cabrio) boots.
  • 30mm Power Strap - A velcro strap, 30mm in height, acts as an extra buckle to keep the top of the boot together. The 30mm straps are good for recreational skiers or junior racers.
  • Tongue Pull - A loop of fabric at the top of the tongue helps in putting on and removing the boots. Pull it forward and to the side and your foot should slide right in.
  • Micro-adjustable aluminum buckles - These aluminum buckles can be moved to adjust for size, so if the default position of the buckle and the teeth is too wide or too narrow, you can move it until it fits.
  • Replaceable Toe and Heel Pads - This is a must-have for skiers that don't live in ski in/ski out condos. When your ski tech tells you that you have to buy new boots because the soles are worn down too much, just laugh at him and tell him to order you a new set of sole plates.
  • Single Canting - One adjustment bolt on the outside of the ankle helps compensate for bow-legs or knock-knees. This tilts the cuff of the boot left or right while keeping the base of the skis flat on the snow.
  • Contour 4 Fit Technology - The shell of the boot is designed to be more anatomically correct than any other. Four parts of the foot are crucial in ensuring a close fitting but comfortable boot. The toes, ankles, heel and width of the boot are shaped in a more natural, ergonomic way.
  • Forward Lean Adjust - The forward pitch or angle can be adjusted on this boot to obtain a more aggressive stance for attacking the hill.
  • Adjustable flex - The flex setting of this boot can be toggled between two settings: the higher is stiffer and better performance, while the lower setting is softer and more comfortable.
  • TRUFIT Sport Custom-fit Liner - Dalbello's high end boots all have a variation of the TRUFIT custom moldable liner. The TRUFIT Sport is the most generous fitting of this family of liners, with a wide instep and some fuzzy faux fur inner lining.
  • Dynalink by Dalbello - The middle buckle Dynalink boots is an extra big instep closure band that pulls the heel back into the heel pocket. Where some buckles pull your foot towards the footboard of the boot, boots with Dynalink pull your foot towards the heel of the boot. This is nice because it often means you can get an tight fit without constantly banging your toes against the end of the shell.

  • Dalbello Owner's Manual - This may seem trivial, but Dalbello boots come with the most thorough owner's manual that we've ever seen. They walk you through any and all of the adjustments that each particular boot can make. Thumbs up for the great info, Dalbello!
